The Township of Muskoka Lakes is a wonderful area towards the southern tip of the Canadian Shield. The community is built upon rock that has been here for 2 million years. This area is now surrounded by 80 beautiful lakes and the towering rock features. The three largest and most popular lakes in this area include Lake Muskoka, Lake Joseph, and Lake Rosseau. Muskoka is well known for its rocky landscape which displays our long history within the colourful layered details.
Despite larger populations during the summer months, 80% of Muskoka's natural land environment remains untouched and flourishes in its natural beauty.
